Carmart Perth was an incredible dealership to purchase my car from. Please get ready for an essay here haha. Prior to seeing them, I had spent so long looking for a car on every possible car website, marketplace and dealership with absolutely no luck. At other dealerships, I had a lot of difficulty with car salesman recognising that I was a young woman who didn't know anything about cars, and then immediately lying about car details and pressuring me to buy right away or else. It got to a point where I had to get male friends of mine to come with me just to talk to dealers about the car and check for hidden damages. Carmart was different right off the bat. The first staff member I met was the owner (Maurice)'s son, who was so incredibly kind and considerate. He listened attentively to everything I wanted in a car (which was very specific, I had a long list of requests haha) and was able to quickly find cars that fit my description. He was able to describe everything in ways that made sense to me and was so friendly during test drives and while discussing details in the office. While other dealerships would snap at me to "Google it" when I asked about the differences between cars, Maurice's son was the opposite - he knew very specific details about the cars and was able to help me compare them. Next, I interacted with Maurice who was soft spoken and kind, yet also very comedic and fun to be around. He calmly answered any questions I had and always made sure I was being attended to while on site. I also had a lot of difficulty when looking at cars because I had a very tight budget, but Maurice was extremely open to either finding cars in my price range or giving me a great deal on some of the higher-priced cars. Caprice was also so incredibly nice as well. She was so lovely to chat with and also, like Maurice's son, was very kind when explaining things to me that I didn't understand. She helped me with going through all of the official car-paperwork and she was so helpful it was insane. I test drove the car (twice) with Caprice and Maurice's son and I honestly was having so much fun test driving the car with them. They were both so fun to chat with and Maurice's son showed me how to put gas in the car I bought. All of the staff were so kind to me each time that I went to the dealership (4 times) - after the first time, I realised that I could safely go myself without male friends and could trust Carmart to still respect me and answer my questions. The final point I want to make is; I did not want to purchase a used car without getting it inspected by a second party first. When I asked other car dealerships if this was ok, one got extremely upset with me and kept insisting that it was a waste of my money and that they were unhappy with me doing it - insisting that the car would be gone if I waited even 1 day longer to inspect it (suprise: it wasn't), and that they did not want me to evalute it at Autoban or any other places that I trusted. A lot of facebook marketplace sellers would also ghost me when I'd ask to do this haha. Carmart's reaction to this was such a 180! They were immediately completely ok with it and allowed me to sign a contract saying that the car was all mine as long as it passed an inspection. They were so kind to the inspector that came and accommodated me while the inspector worked by giving me cold soft drinks and Krispy Kreme donuts. They instantly fixed all of the (extremely minor) issues that came up with the inspection free of charge and had the car ready for me the next day (honestly very teeny things that I would expect from a used car, (eg. dusting the aircon etc;) I honestly can't believe they agreed to do all of it, I would have bought it either way). This was such a fun experience and I'm so so thankful to the Carmart team for making my first-time-car-buying experience such a fun one! I absolutely wish I had gone to them from the start, and I will 1000% be recommending them to all my friends and (younger) family members who are about to buy their first car as well!

I had a great experience buying my car here. As a woman buying her first car, they really made me feel confident and supported throughout the entire process. The staff were always very attentive and patient, taking the time to explain everything. They were very open and generous to negotiate the price and made the whole process feel easy and transparent. I really appreciated how open they were in allowing me to test drive the car and take it to my own mechanics for inspection without any issues.
